Mental Health Worker FT Split Transport and Clinical Resource

Job Summary: Provides role as patient advocate through role modeling of standards of performance and by communicating and meeting patients� needs for service. Assists registered nurses in direct care of patients. Ensures a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit through observation monitoring, interacting and providing/assisting in groups.
Primary assignments include:
- Transportation of newly admitted patients to the inpatient units, transport of discharged patients off the inpatient units, and other transportation related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Clinical support of the inpatient units and IAC during periods of high acuity, breaks coverage, support during visiting hours, and as assigned by the supervisor.
Specifications:
Specifications: Bachelor�s degree in any of the social sciences preferred and/or comparable behavioral health experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Experience in working with mentally ill and/or developmentally delayed clients.
Candidate must have excellent written skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Schedule: 40/80 Full Time Split 11a-7:30p (Meal period assigned at 3p unless otherwise assigned by supervisor). Holiday requirements per CBA.
