Nurse Assistant Instructor

 

Location: Park City, UT

Status: Part-Time

Hours: Park City High School scheduled ‘White Days’, 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Pay/Salary: DOE

At MTECH, we're looking for a dedicated, student-focused Nursing Assistant Instructor to join our growing team. This is more than a teaching role—it's a chance to help students transform their lives, build fundamental skills, and prepare for rewarding careers in their chosen fields. This position will train beginning fall semester, with the class running January 5, 2027 through June 5, 2027.

What You'll Do:

 

Responsibilities of the Nurse Assistant Instructor include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Delivering engaging, hands-on instruction in both classroom and lab settings.
  • Supporting student growth through mentoring, regular feedback, and individualized success planning.
  • Ensuring your curriculum stays current and aligned with real industry expectations.
  • Partnering with fellow instructors, administrators, and industry leaders to maintain a high-quality learning experience.
  • Leading by example in professionalism, safety, and workplace readiness.
  • Actively participating in program development, accreditation efforts, employer advisory committees, and campus-wide events.

 

Additional Instructor Requirements for Park City: 

  • The didactic instructor will be the clinical instructor for their students.

  • Occasional travel is needed to substitute in other locations, assist with labs, run clinical assignments, and attend program meetings.

What We're Looking For:

 

We're seeking professionals who are passionate about teaching and committed to excellence. Successful candidates will have:

  • Education: A high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Experience: Must have 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a long-term facility or caring for the elderly or chronically ill.
  • Industry Credentials & Certifications: Must be a licensed nurse with a current, active Utah license to practice and be in good standing. Must be a BLS/CPR and First Aid Instructor through the American Heart Association, or complete upon hire.
  • Training Requirement: Upon hire, must complete the UNAR-approved “Train the Trainer” program and demonstrate competence or experience supervising nursing assistants.
  • Teaching Skills: Must have a knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques, as well as the ability to successfully interact with high school and adult students in a professional manner.
  • Organizational Abilities: Strong skills in communication, time management, and organization.
