Principal Systems Engineer JD 

Role Context 

The role involves working on payment devices (POS/validators/ATM/kiosks), backend systems, and payment networks (Visa/Mastercard). 

Role Purpose 

Lead complex payment systems involving devices, integrations, and certification readiness, while driving solutioning, resolving critical issues, and engaging with stakeholders. 

What You Will Do 

Drive architecture, EMV certification, work with payment networks, solve complex issues. 

Must Have 

Drive end-to-end payment system architecture across devices, backend systems, and payment networks. Lead EMV certification readiness, work closely with payment partners (Visa/Mastercard), and resolve complex system and transaction issues. Strong experience in payment systems including POS/terminals/ATM devices, with deep understanding of payment processing (authorization, settlement, switching), EMV, ISO8583, device management (TMS), IoT ecosystem, OTA updates. 

Good to Have 

IoT, embedded systems. 

Additional Technical Exposure (Preferred) 

Payment devices (POS, terminals, ATM, kiosks), NFC/contactless, payment gateways, embedded/firmware exposure. 

Avoid 

Non-payment profiles, pure architects without hands-on.
