The Simulation System Specialist is responsible for the planning, development, testing and execution of code specific to the back-end integration of intelligence-centric synthetic environment (SE) capabilities.
- Manage the design, development, testing, configuration(s) associated with the Information Operations Network (ION).
- Manage the design, development, testing, configuration(s) associated with the Exercise Architect Suite (EASe).
- Manage the design, development, testing, configuration(s) associated with the Command: Professional Edition (C:PE).
- Provide technical advice to Chief Training, Chief Command Support, and Chief C5ISR on matters directly related to the integration of ION, EASe, and C:PE in CA training environments.
- Computer technology diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
- At least three years working as part of a technical project; or
- At least two years working within any of the Canadian Forces institutional engineering establishments (e.g., DLCSPM, DLR, etc.)
- Good working knowledge of current Canadian Army simulation and integration toolsets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently to remedy technical and procedural issues.
- Demonstrate simple project management competencies (i.e., understand the AGILE process).
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill using the following programming and development languages: C++, Python, Java, and LINUX.
- Demonstrate competencies in system management (SM) processes and workflows
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a government Secret clearance
- Able to go onsite in Kingston 5 days a week
