Job Description

 

Purpose:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Specialist to join a dynamic and highly productive Marketing and Communications team. The purpose of this role is to manage email marketing campaigns and draft copy that promotes specific products/services and events, enhances customer engagement, and drives sales growth.

 

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks:

Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.

1. Area of Focus (In order of percentage of time spent on activity, importance and/or priority)

a) Implement and execute email marketing campaigns.

b) Craft compelling and targeted email content, including subject lines, body copy and call-to-actions that drive customer engagement.

c) Draft engaging web copy to enhance SEO performance.

d) Create, post and monitor content across social media channels.

e) Design email templates and graphics that employ best practices using email marketing platforms (e.g., Dynamics 365, Mailchimp).

f) Conduct A/B testing to optimize email performance and improve open and click-through rates by analyzing subject lines, content blocks and layouts.

g) Maintain and segment email distribution lists based on contact type and preferences to deliver personalized content.

2. Secondary Area of Focus (In order of percentage of time spent on activity, importance and/or priority)

a) Ensure compliance with email marketing best practices and industry regulations, including CAN-SPAM and GDPR.

b) Monitor campaigns, analyze performance metrics and make adjustments to optimize campaign results.

c) Provide regular reporting and insights to improve future campaigns.

3. Next Area of Focus (In order of percentage of time spent on activity, importance and/or priority)

a) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align email strategies with business goals.

b) Stay up-to-date with the latest email marketing trends and technologies to continuously enhance our email marketing efforts.

10. Maintains professional presentation, attitude, and behavior toward others.

 

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications:

1. Education:

a. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism/Communications or related field. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.

2. Experience:

a. 4+ years of experience in email marketing or a similar role (required).

b. Experience producing email campaign performance reports, analyzing the results, presenting the data, and proposing improvements (required).

c. Demonstrated ability to improve email performance metrics over time (preferred).

d. Experience with email marketing in Dynamics 365 (preferred).

e. Familiarity with HTML and CSS for email design (preferred).

f. B2B marketing communications experience (preferred).

3. Licenses / Certifications:

a. Valid driver’s license – required

4. Language:

a. Proficiency in English required

 

Work Environment / Conditions:

The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience, and therefore must be adaptable to.

1. Work is performed in a shared space, with constant noise, without the use of a private office.

2. This is a hybrid position, working a minimum of three days per week from the office in Northbrook, IL.

Compensation: $55-80K
