About the Role: We’re looking for a male and females caregiver who is passionate about supporting children with intellectual disabilities. In this role, you’ll provide personalized care and engage in activities that promote their development and well-being. You’ll be a trusted companion, helping them navigate daily life with compassion and respect.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: Previous caregiving experience, especially with children with intellectual disabilities, is highly valued.
• Knowledge: Understanding of intellectual disabilities and best practices in caregiving.
• Physical Capability: Ability to perform physical caregiving tasks such as lifting and assisting with mobility.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to connect with children in a compassionate and understanding manner.
• Attitude: Patience, empathy, a positive outlook, and a deep sense of responsibility.
• Certifications: CNA, NA, or PCA certification is required. CPR and First Aid certifications are highly desirable.
• Reliability: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary.

Your Responsibilities:

• Daily Care: You’ll assist with personal care tasks like bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring the children feel comfortable and dignified.
• Health Management: You’ll provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration, helping to manage their health needs.
• Mobility Support: Your role includes helping with movement and transfers, always prioritizing safety.
• Nutrition: You’ll prepare and serve meals that are not just nutritious but also enjoyable, taking into account any dietary needs.
• Home Care: Light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living environment will be part of your routine, creating a comfortable home for the children.
• Engagement: You’ll be a source of companionship and engage the children in activities that stimulate their minds and reduce feelings of isolation.
• Health Monitoring: Keeping an eye on the children’s health is crucial—you’ll report any changes or concerns to their families and healthcare professionals.
• Collaboration: You’ll work closely with families and healthcare teams, following care plans and ensuring everyone is on the same page.
