POSITIONS:                           Special Education Teacher


 


LOCATION:                            Lincoln Elementary School


 


CLASSIFICATION:                   Teacher


 


STARTING DATE:                    As Arranged


 


HOURS:                                 Per HEA Contract


 


PAY RATE:                              Per HEA Contract


 


REQUIREMENTS: Must hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate and Special Education Endorsement.  At least three years of successful teaching experience preferred.


Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate.


 


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Shall be able to instruct students in a Special Education setting.


Shall have the leadership ability and skill necessary to organize, implement, maintain, and evaluate a comprehensive Special Education program.  Shall have the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, counselors and parents.  Shall have the knowledge of theories of learning appropriate for Special Education.
