Position Type: Full-Time, Non-exempt, Hourly
Wage: Prevailing Wage (Rate determined by project and location)

Position Overview

Hamilton Construction Co. is seeking a Laborer – Bridge to support bridge construction projects in the Boise, Idaho area. This role involves performing a variety of physical, hands-on tasks to assist crews in safely and efficiently completing projects. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in demanding outdoor environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

General Labor & Site Support
• Perform a variety of manual labor tasks on bridge, highway, and rail construction projects
• Assist skilled trades and equipment operators as needed
• Handle and transport materials, tools, and equipment

Safety & Compliance
• Follow all company safety policies and project-specific safety requirements
• Adhere to environmental regulations and jobsite procedures
• Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure a safe work environment

Attendance & Reliability
• Report to work on time and ready for assigned duties
• Maintain reliable transportation to and from job sites

 

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in heavy civil construction (bridges, highways, or rail) preferred
    • Ability to safely use hand and power tools
    • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly
    • Comfortable working at heights
    • Ability to access all areas of a construction site in varying terrain and weather conditions
    • Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks
    • This is a Safety-Sensitive Position where impairment may pose a risk of serious injury or death
    • Regular, reliable attendance
