CTG is seeking a Technical Engineer III to serve as a senior-level technologist focused on infrastructure engineering and Active Directory environments. This role will drive design, implementation, and automation efforts while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 7 months
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure solutions with a focus on Microsoft Active Directory
- Lead Active Directory (AD) initiatives including planning, upgrades, and optimization
- Automate operational processes using PowerShell and/or Python
- Collaborate with technology leadership, engineers, and business stakeholders to define and deliver solutions
- Develop and maintain architectural documentation, standards, and procedures
- Perform system analysis, testing, and performance optimization
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical deliverables
- Ensure adherence to risk, compliance, and regulatory standards
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party partners as needed
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of combined education and/or experience in systems engineering, infrastructure, or architecture
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory
- Experience leading or supporting AD-related projects
- Scripting/automation experience with PowerShell and/or Python
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with infrastructure design, system architecture, and enterprise applications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Knowledge of server, client, and virtualization technologies
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
