We are looking for a Salesforce Application Developer with strong Licensing, Permitting, and Inspections (LPI) and end-to-end data migration experience to support application development. This position will be a full-time, contract role, and is fully remote (EST).
What You’ll Do
Analyze, design, code, test, and implement Salesforce Public Sector Solutions application code
Develop integrations using Salesforce APIs to connect Salesforce with State and legacy systems
Design and implement Licensing, Permitting, and Inspections (LPI) solutions using Salesforce PSS data models
Collaborate with Salesforce administrators on release cycles and deployments
Follow DoIT coding standards and best practices, including test-driven development and low-code/no-code principles
Produce estimates for development tasks and review peers’ estimates for accuracy and completeness
Create data models, tables, and dimension models using Informatica ETL tools
Lead and execute end-to-end data migrations from legacy systems into Salesforce
Assess source systems, including data volume, quality, schemas, and integration points
Define migration approaches, including ETL/ELT methods, migration waves, incremental vs. full loads, and cutover strategies
Map legacy data to Salesforce standard and custom objects, record types, relationships, and external IDs
Define and implement data transformation rules, normalization standards, and deduplication logic
Ensure hierarchy and referential integrity across accounts, contacts, cases, and related records
Conduct dry runs and performance testing with realistic data volumes
Orchestrate final data loads, post-load remediation, and index updates
Validate automations to ensure migrated data does not break triggers, flows, or validation rules
Use tools such as Data Loader and Data Import Wizard for migration execution
Ensure protection of PHI, PII, and PCI data throughout development and migration activities
What You’ll Need
Required:
6–8 years of experience designing and implementing Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, specifically Licensing, Permitting, and Inspections data models
5–8 years of hands-on experience with OmniStudio (OmniScripts, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures)
4+ years of end-to-end data migration experience from legacy systems to Salesforce
4+ years of experience configuring complex Salesforce sharing models
Strong experience integrating Salesforce with external and legacy systems using APIs
Ability to work independently while collaborating within a development team
Experience estimating work, managing risks, and identifying blockers
Ability to work Eastern Time Zone business hours
All education, degrees, and certifications must include completion dates
Preferred:
Experience using Informatica ETL tools
Experience working in government or public-sector environments

$65 - $75 per hourThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
