Description

Middle School Teachers will play an integral role in creating the foundation and legacy of academic rigor and a joyful school culture at Morongo School. Our teachers will set the bar high; provide an education that will open doors, shift mindsets, and provide opportunities for students; and will believe in the innate desire to learn and limitless potential of all students.

Teachers will teach a combination of core subjects (English Language Arts & History | Math & Science as well as, Culture) each day. Teachers are responsible for collaborating with their instructional coach and administrator. Morongo School teachers are responsible for intellectual preparation for each lesson, building strong and positive relationships with students and families, using data to tailor their instruction, and actively collaborating with colleagues.

Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree or higher degree with emphasis in education, instructional technology, a subject matter field commonly taught in the elementary/middle school grades or closely related field areas to which meet credential requirements;
• Two years full time elementary or middle school classroom teaching experience in public or private school setting.
• Must possess a valid California Teaching Credential, authorizing service in a self-contained classroom.
• Must be NCLB compliant.
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license.
• Must possess First Aid/CPR certification
