Position Overview

Oasis at the Crescent is seeking a reliable and professional Security Guard to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This role is ideal for someone who is calm under pressure, attentive, and takes pride in keeping others safe.

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior and exterior areas of the facility

• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity

• Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies

• De-escalate situations in a professional manner

• Enforce visitor policies and facility procedures

• Monitor security systems (cameras, alarms)

• Document incidents and maintain accurate daily reports

• Assist residents, staff, and visitors as needed

• Support emergency procedures when required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk, stand, and patrol the facility for long periods.

• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds if necessary (e.g., assisting with emergency evacuations).

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, as required during shifts.

Qualifications

• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred

• Strong communication and judgment skills

• Ability to remain calm and professional in all situations

• Dependable and able to work independently

• Flexible availability

• Must meet all applicable state requirements for security personnel, including maintaining any required permits or certifications.

• Permit to carry

Schedule & Pay

• Full-Time Shifts Available: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Pay Range: $17 – $25/hour (based on experience)
