Piqua Materials, a leading producer of crushed limestone, is seeking dependable, safety-focused, and mechanically inclined individuals to join our maintenance team. This is a full-time opportunity for those who enjoy working outdoors, using their hands, and being part of a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general plant maintenance and equipment repairs.
  • Must be able to weld/fabricate as needed.
  • Complete daily preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
  • Troubleshoot and replace screens, conveyor belts, and system components.
  • Use hand and power tools, including cutting, grinding, and impact tools.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow company safety policies.
  • Assist with mobile and stationary equipment operation when needed.

Core Skills and Competencies

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Familiarity with belts, pulleys, bearings, and industrial equipment.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to assess and repair mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Thorough inspections and documentation of maintenance tasks.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with team members and supervisors.
  • Physical Endurance: Capable of lifting 50 lbs, working in all weather conditions, and climbing ladders and stairs over 24 feet.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Proven work ethic with a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
  • Previous experience in aggregate, limestone, or heavy industrial environments is a plus.
