K-8 Therapeutic Learning Center Counselor, ESY Program
POSITION OVERVIEW
To plan and provide instruction/counseling to students with therapeutic learning needs who require an Extended School Year (ESY), per their Individualized Education Program (IEP).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Collaboration with site coordinator
- Planning for instruction/counseling of students to maintain skills, information, or behaviors per IEP
- Supervision of paraprofessionals
- Coordination of related service support
- Assessment and communication of progress with teachers and service providers
- Written progress reports at end of program
QUALIFICATIONS-REQUIRED
- Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment
- Mass DESE Licensure as a counselor school /psychologist
QUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED
- Experience with students with emotional and/or behavioral needs
Schedule:
- July 6, 2026 - July 30. 2026
- 9:00 12:00, Monday - Thursday
- All staff report for a full day on July 6th for orientation and classroom set-up. Students begin on July 7th
- Additional 30 minutes per day for planning
- One additional day, to be completed prior to the end of the program, allotted for progress reporting
