PAY RATE:
$14.00 / hour for New Seasonals 
 $15.00 / hour for Second Year Returning Seasonals
$16.00 / hour for Third Year or More Returning Seasonals

REQUIREMENTS:

MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE.  APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE.

Must successfully pass a background screening and drug screening.

This temporary, full-time position is 40 hours per week, lasting no longer than six months.

Position Duties

The City of Gillette is looking for reliable, motivated Seasonal Workers to assist the City with various landscaping tasks including; planting, watering, laying sod and mowing grass, weed eating and grounds and buildings maintenance and cleaning at City Parks and other City maintained locations. 

  • The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, stooping, bending, crouching or walking. The employee frequently lifts light and occasionally heavy objects, climbs ladders, uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity, distinguishes between shades of color, and utilizes the sense of smell.

  • The work is typically performed outdoors, in warm or inclement weather. The employee may be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, grease, and machinery with moving parts. Work requires the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, gloves, etc.
