Job Description

Reno Orthopedic Center wants you to join the team as an Advanced Practice Provider for our Pre-Anesthesia Surgical Screening (PASS) Clinic! We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated team member to deliver health services including evaluation, monitoring, diagnostics, treatment and clearance for anesthesia and surgery at our Main Location – 555 N. Arlington Ave.

 

What would you do in this role?

You’ll play a key role in pre‑anesthesiology screening through our PASS clinic, reviewing charts, labs, imaging, and consults to determine surgical readiness and clear patients for anesthesia, using the anesthesia team’s pre-determined protocol. In partnership with the CMA Pre‑Admit Technicians, you’ll help streamline pre‑admission workflows by identifying required labs or diagnostics, providing pre‑operative education, coordinating clearances, and ensuring charts are complete and accurate. You become an essential clinical force—improving access, elevating patient outcomes, and keeping the orthopedic service line running with precision and compassion.

 

A Day in the Life

  • Conduct pre-anesthesiology screening in our pre-anesthesia clinic through charts, labs, imaging and consult notes to determine readiness for anesthesia and clear patients for surgery under the direction of our anesthesia team;
  • Provide care to patients by gathering additional information as needed;
  • Work closely with our anesthesia providers to ensure safe and optimal care;
  • Assist CMA Pre-Admit Technicians with pre-admission tasks as needed, including identifying needed labs or diagnostics, providing pre-op education, coordinating clearances and ensuring charts are complete for review.

 

Note: This is an in-office, 5-day per week role.
