What You'll Be Doing

This position provides a variety of professional administrative and secretarial support services to senior level management within the Department of Public Works. Work typically involves extensive public contact and requires the exercise of considerable judgment, initiative, and discretion based on knowledge of departmental or town policies and procedures.

Position Duties

  • HS/GED; 8 years progressively responsible administrative support experience; experience in handling a wide array of financial, budgeting and procurement matters; experience working with top management officials in an organization; and proficiency in all MS Suite applications. 
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information

Minimum Qualifications

  • Classes in computers or business administration.
  • Knowledge of databases, knowledge of Access.  
  • Knowledge of GIS mapping software, Munis and Aclara.  
  • Experience in government.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
