Teamwork
Main activities:
- Works cross functionally.
- Co-ordinates the activities of the receiving team to ensure objectives are met
- Participates in all environmental, health and safety initiatives and complies with required policies and standards
- Backfills Warehouse Team Leader on his absence
- Actions any other work related instructions given by Warehouse Team Leader at all times.
Management of people
Main activities:
Manage their team fairly and consistently according to company policy; ensures targets and goals are met; ensure staff are trained and manage change within the department as changes are made to systems or processes
- Propose required resources and business outcomes for the Receiving Warehouse
- Ensure clear communication and understanding of the given tasks, strategy, and fosters a positive, motivating working environment for the team.
- Ensure the Receiving team proactively participates in all environmental, health and safety initiatives and complies with required policies and standards
- Oversees the efficient picking orders for production, toll manufactures, outside warehouses, receiving of goods, put-away and maintenance of inventory accuracy in the material warehouses
Inventory Management
Main activities:
- Ensure accurate receipt and inspection of all incoming stock according to SOPs
- Ensure capturing receipt of stock on the ERP system according to agreed timelines
- Distribute accurate and GDP compliant receipt documentation to relevant departments
- Ensures sufficient packaging materials are available to meet requirements
- Ensure prompt and accurate stock movement in accordance with issued picking slips
- Complete stock movement documentation accurately
- Verify stock accuracy as and when required
- Handles high value and high scheduled medicine as required by relevant SOPs
- Prevent stock losses due to damage or security breaches
- Ensure that stock is captured to the correct locations
- Ensure that picking is done from correct locations
Reporting
Main activities:
- Ensure that all monthly reports of warehouse and distribution activities are completed on time and in full by the 5th of each month
- Ensure that day end assessment on work is issued to receiving personnel.
- Ensure that daily report are completed to ensure implementation KPI’s
- Filing is up to date
Compliance
Main activities :
- Handles inventory according to pick slips and related SOP's
- Ensure cGMP/GDP and Housekeeping standards are maintained
- Adheres to safe work procedures and wears PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as appropriate to task being performed
- Complies with all housekeeping, safety and GMP regulations and relevant Standard Operating Procedures relevant to their roles
- Participates in initiatives to ensure that the department does not receive critical findings in an audit
- Ensure that forklift/Reach truck license remains valid and carry it all times while driving a forklift/Reach truck
Asset Management
Main activities:
- Maintains warehouse infrastructure in a neat and orderly condition.
- Operates material handling equipment according to the SOPs
- Maintains equipment in a good condition and report malfunctions timeously to Team Leader
- Ensures no damages occur due to negligence
- Reports all damaged stock, any equipment and infrastructure problems to Team Leader
- Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions and repairs
- Contribute towards a safe working environment and ensure no loss of time, accidents or damage to infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or any relevant NQF level 4
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Raw Material Handling/Receiving warehouse
- Pharmaceutical warehousing related experience
- Pharmaceutical Sector experience (Advantage)duplication
- Reach Truck and Forklift licence (preferable)
- Warehouse Related Qualification would be advantageous.
- Previous team management or leadership experience advantageous
- Good attendance record
