Description:
To oversee the custodial operations of individual school facilities and ensure a safe, clean and comfortable school environment; to carry out administrative tasks required to maintain and operate the building to the required standards. Experience in plant operation and maintenance, cleaning methods and procedures, repairs, security and HVAC. Sufficient to perform the assigned tasks and any other tasks assigned by the building administrator and or the Director of Buildings and Grounds. Be able to work independently. Knowledge of the methods and techniques used in facilities maintenance and repair work. Ability to understand and respond to a wide variety of institutional situations and emergencies, including fire alarms, burglar alarms, sprinkler activation, HVAC and safety problems that arise. Snow removal is required.  Must be able to use a lawnmower, weedwacker, backpack blower and snow blower. 

Experience:
Prior custodial experience is required, especially in a school setting and the ability to effectively communicate to others both orally and in writing.

Hours:
6:30 am - 3:00 pm

Qualifications:
Black Seal license required.
Must have a HS diploma or equivalent.

Base Salary:  $62,000
Employment Period:  Twelve (12) Months
Union Affiliation:  SBHCCFA
