Job Description

Overview

The Field Operator supports daily plant operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant functioning of all equipment and systems. This role operates plant facilities according to OEM manuals, internal procedures, and regulatory requirements. The Field Operator reports to the Team Leader and works closely with the Shift Supervisor and HSE team to maintain operational integrity and safety.


Key Responsibilities


• Participate proactively in Prismecs’ Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) program.
• Ensure full compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and operational regulations in the power generation industry.
• Monitor CCTV for security and operational abnormalities.
• Monitor GTs and BOP screens and respond to alarms or issues during the shift.
• Collaborate with HSE and comply with directives, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Perform scheduled tasks assigned by the Shift Supervisor, including:
– Operation of SCADA, Protection, and Control Systems in line with procedures and Power Agreements.
– Preventive routine inspections.
– Fuel truck offloading per policy and standards.
– General facility maintenance.
– Supporting additional operational activities as required.
• Report promptly any incident, accident, environmental violation, equipment failure, or abnormal condition.
• Maintain correct use and care of tools and equipment.
• Maintain CCR cleanliness and ensure a clean, orderly handover to the incoming shift.
• Apply energy conservation and environmental compliance guidelines.
• Support quality and productivity initiatives.
• Remain available for additional assignments from Team Leader, Shift Manager, HSE Coordinator, CRO, or PM.




Requirements

• Technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience operating a similar power plant.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Reporting and documentation experience.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
• General HSE knowledge.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14000, and OHSAS 18001 is a plus.
