What you will do:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips
- Inspect materials for damage, discrepancies, or quality concerns and report issues
- Accurately enter received goods into inventory systems
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company and customer requirements
- Generate shipping documentation (bill of lading, packing slips, labels)
- Coordinate pickups with carriers and schedule shipments
- Load and unload trucks using material handling equipment (if certified)
- Maintain organized shipping/receiving areas
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory control
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
What we need:
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, tracking logs)
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Ability to create and process electronic shipping documents
- Experience using barcode scanners and RF technology
- Comfortable with email communication and digital file management
- High level of accuracy in data entry
EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
