    LOCATION:  7480 Broadway, Denver, CO 80221 - Global Primary Academy

    PAY RANGE: Licensed Salary Schedule, $60,004 - $124,634 Annual Salary

    CALENDAR: 190 Days

    REPORTS TO: School Director/Principal

    Global Primary Academy is a PK-3 Internationally focused school that is a part of the Global Schools on the Broadway Campus. This small school gives teachers the time, space, and support to dive into content standards and focus on PK-3 academic success, with a heavy focus on early literacy. A student's ownership of learning begins on day one, with opportunities to connect their learning to their community and world. The building was designed to bridge the comforts of home with the wonders of nature, to help our students become brave and curious learners.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Colorado teaching license with an appropriate elementary endorsement required.
    • Additional endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education preferred, *or willingness to pursue endorsement or equivalent coursework. *
    • K-3 teachers must provide documentation of evidence-based literacy training, Read Act Designation, per CDE requirements.

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS

    1. Have a commitment to raising achievement among all students including high-need students, students with disabilities, and those who are performing below grade level.
    2. Develop lesson plans which ensure instruction is paced well, encourages students to think critically, engages all students in authentic and productive learning, and ensures smooth classroom management.
    3. Provide students with skills necessary to meet or exceed the Grade Level Expectations of the Colorado Academic Standards with defined sequential outcomes, authentic and engaging work, and modeled assessment expectations.
    4. Clearly communicate student progress and achievements throughout course work with students and parents.
    5. Maintain professional communications and interactions with students, parent community, and staff.
    6. Willingness and ability to collaborate with colleagues across content areas. Collaboration includes participating in planning meetings to develop integrated instruction and improve teaching practices, implementing a rigorous curriculum, authentic instruction, and multiple assessment strategies.
    7. Attend and take full advantage of the professional development offered.
    8. Willing to undergo training in the International Baccalaureate Model.
    9. Model, instill, and actively participate in building a supportive and positive culture through GPA's learner profiles.
    10. Perseverance in the face of challenges.
    11. Work with a growth mindset.

    TRAINING: 

    • Mandatory Title IX training is required by the Colorado Department of Education and for all public school employees. Title IX training addresses harassment, discrimination, and bullying. Completing these mandatory Title IX training courses ensure we are meeting state requirements while continuing to foster a culture of safety and belonging across our schools.
    • You will have two mandatory training courses that must be completed within 30 days of your date of hire and are required to be completed on your own time.
