- Develop and deliver instructional lessons and activities that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
- Collaborate with the IEP team, including parents, general education teachers, and support staff, to monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and behavior.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters academic growth and social-emotional development.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education (DCD or similar endorsement).
- Experience working with students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities.
- Knowledge of effective instructional strategies and behavior management techniques for students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- $33.02 per hour to $62.33 per hour, depending on level of education and years of experience.

Position Overview:
Saint Peter Middle School (SPMS) is seeking a dedicated and qualified DCD Extended School Year (ESY) Special Education Teacher for grades 5-8. This temporary position will focus on providing specialized instruction and support to students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) during the summer session. ESY is being held at North Elementary School due to construction at SPMS.
