Pay: $76.00 / Hour

Job Description:

  • Plans and implements educational activities that are congruent with the SJEH mission, goals, values, priorities and resources.
  • Works with fellow Educators to plan, implement and evaluate nursing orientation process.
  • Participates in formal orientation classes for all new employees in the Nursing Department.
  • Monitors staff through direct observation, interaction with the Nurse Supervisor/Manager/Director and dialogue with the involved staff to insure staff is competent to perform duties as assigned.
  • Educates staff in the use of any new equipment and maintains a record of such training in their educational file.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years general medical, surgical experience; applicable teaching and clinical experience.
  • Certification in specialty area preferred.
  • NYS RN license required.
  • American Heart Association certification in Basic Life Support (BCLS) required.
  • Master's degree in Nursing required.
