About the Role


 


This is a broad and high-impact role providing legal and compliance support across Australia and the Asia Pacific region. Working closely with the General Counsel and Company Secretary, the position plays a key role in supporting a publicly listed environment, ensuring compliance with ASX Listing Rules and broader regulatory obligations while enabling commercially sound decision-making. The role spans legal advisory, corporate governance, M&A, and compliance programs, contributing to strategic initiatives and strengthening the organisation’s risk and compliance framework. It offers the opportunity to work across diverse business areas and engage with senior stakeholders, including the Executive Team and Board.


 


Key Responsibilities


 



  • Provide commercially pragmatic legal advice across a broad range of business activities including sales, partnerships, operations, technology and intellectual property

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements

  • Support ASX and corporate governance and compliance obligations including continuous disclosure, share trading and regulatory reporting

  • Assist with Board and Committee materials, governance processes, and corporate governance frameworks

  • Support M&A and strategic transactions including due diligence and transaction documentation

  • Identify and manage legal and compliance risks, providing practical mitigation strategies

  • Collaborate with global stakeholders and legal teams on cross-border matters

  • Support internal investigations and compliance-related matters

  • Contribute to the development of legal tools, templates, and contract management processes as well precedent libraries


 


About You


 


This role will suit a commercially minded legal professional with experience operating in a dynamic and evolving environment. Strong technical legal capability is complemented by the ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical advice for stakeholders. Experience within a top-tier or mid-tier firm, with exposure to in-house environments, will be highly regarded. A proactive and collaborative approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail will be key to success.
