Job Description

POSITION TITLE:   Paraprofessional - Special Education, IRR for the 2026-2027 School Year


 


 


LOCATION(S):   Cass HS


 


START DATE:  August 3, 2026


 


JOB DESCRIPTION: Assists classroom teacher in all activities including instruction, personal care of students, preparation of lesson materials and evaluation of student’s progress. Assists students in boarding and deboarding the school bus and in all aspects of personal care, including eating, transporting and toileting. Must have the physical ability to lift, pull, and carry 50 lbs. Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance. Perform other duties as requested and required.


 


EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION OR TRAINING: High school diploma. Must hold or be eligible to hold a Georgia Paraprofessional License through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

SKILLS: Physical demands – must be able to stand and walk a minimum of six hours; lift, carry and pull up to 150 pounds.
