Key Accountabilities
Your Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the charge in ensuring the safety of Honda Aircraft products by applying systems engineering principles to identify and eliminate hazards, reducing associated risks throughout their lifecycle.
- Perform system safety analyses, including Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSA), System Safety Assessments (SSA), and Common Cause Analysis (CCA).
- Collaborate with design, reliability, and certification teams to ensure safety requirements are met.
- Participate in design reviews, providing critical safety-related input.
- Utilize innovative approaches to solve complex and challenging problems.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety processes and tools.
- Take personal responsibility for your continued professional growth and development, with full support from your manager.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in system safety engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Familiarity with safety standards such as ARP4761, ARP4754A, DO-178C, and DO-254.
- Experience with safety analysis tools (e.g., Fault Tree+, CAFTA, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience with aircraft certification processes.
- Familiarity with the management of safety requirements in DOORS or similar software.
- Familiarity with FAA Part 23 airworthiness standards.
- Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and practices.
