Job Description

Manager, Production – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Brighton, Michigan

Biovire is seeking a Manager, Production to lead pharmaceutical production operations at our Brighton, Michigan site as we advance toward commercialization.

This role is responsible for leading GMP manufacturing operations across dispensing, formulation, aseptic filling, and packaging while ensuring high-quality product delivery, operational discipline, and team development.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role during a critical phase to help build and scale a manufacturing organization, establish best practices, and develop production teams in a growing, mission-driven environment focused on delivering life-saving therapies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day GMP manufacturing operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Own production schedule execution including delivery timelines
  • Lead, coach, and develop production Supervisors, Leads, and operators
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of batch records and production documentation
  • Partner with Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering to resolve issues and improve performance
  • Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce variability, and strengthen operational reliability
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant production environment that remains inspection-ready at all times

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing
  • Prior experience leading production teams
  • Strong understanding of cGMP and aseptic operations preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field (or equivalent experience)
