Job Description
Veterinary Client Service Representative
Quarry Ridge Animal Hospital – Ridgefield, CT

Being a Client Service Representative (CSR) in a veterinary hospital takes a special kind of person—someone who can keep calm under pressure, communicate with compassion, and still remember which pet parent asked for the grain-free food.

At Quarry Ridge Animal Hospital, we’ve proudly cared for the pets of Ridgefield since 1992. Our practice is the only AAHA-accredited hospital in town, and we hold ourselves to high standards when it comes to both patient care and client experience.
We’re looking for a CSR who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys building lasting relationships with clients, and is passionate about supporting both the medical team and our community of pet owners. Many of our team members have been with us for a decade or more, and we think that says a lot about who we are.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing a warm, welcoming experience for every client—whether in person or over the phone
  • Scheduling appointments, confirming visits, and keeping records up to date and organized
  • Communicating clearly with pet parents and helping them understand treatment plans and invoices
  • Maintaining a clean, comfortable, and well-stocked front desk and lobby
  • Managing patient check-ins and admissions, ensuring accurate information is collected
  • Assisting with day-to-day operations like handling mail, reports, and referral communications

What You Bring:

  • 1–3 years of experience in a veterinary or human medical office preferred
  • Confidence with basic office tech: phones, credit card terminals, faxes, and spreadsheets
  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology and a desire to keep learning
  • Strong multitasking skills, sound judgment, and a calm, solutions-focused attitude
  • Excellent communication skills and a naturally empathetic approach to client service
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, stay organized, and work as part of a supportive, collaborative team

Benefits + Perks:

  • Affordable medical options (with free dental) starting the first of the month after hire
  • 401(k) with company match
  • FSA and HSA options
  • Company-paid short-term disability and life insurance
  • Additional voluntary coverage available for you and your family
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
  • Personal pet care discounts
  • Access to a company-sponsored Employee Assistance Program

Quarry Ridge Animal Hospital moved into our purpose-built, 5,500-square-foot facility in 2001—and we’ve been growing ever since. We’re proud of our history, proud of our team, and proud to be part of the United Veterinary Care family, which supports us in building meaningful, sustainable careers.
If you’re ready to bring warmth, professionalism, and a love of animals to a team that values all three—we’d love to meet you.
