Job Description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION



Provide accurate and timely maintenance of Debit/Credit Card activities on member accounts. Analyze multiple card data systems; use analysis to make decisions for action on member accounts to minimize monetary and reputational risks. Work closely with members and employees on account inquiries, issues, and disputes.



 



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS




  1. Maintain Debit/Credit Card information and all follow-up processes and procedures including: performing file maintenance, preparing and following up on retrievals, monitoring incoming reports, verifying accuracy, processing disputes, blocking accounts, and researching statements.

  2. Responsible for researching, analyzing, and reviewing;

    1. monitoring fraud alerts,

    2. declined transactions,

    3. fraud patterns and reporting to manager



  3. Responsible for daily follow-up and resolution to members through debit/credit card notification systems.

  4. Process lost and stolen accounts and credit/debit card fraud claims.

  5. Responsible for compliance with regulatory requirements regarding card processing and disputed card transactions.

  6. Serve as backup for processing of incoming and outgoing wires.

  7. Other Duties as assigned.



 



RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS



Reports To: Card Services Assistant Manager



Contacts: Significant contact with members and other departments daily for inquires, issues, and disputes. Most contact is via telephone with some face to face.



 



JOB SPECIFICATIONS



 



EDUCATION



High School Diploma/GED is required.



EXPERIENCE



Incumbent must have at least two (2) years financial institution with debit/card experience (i.e. issuing cards and handling card transaction inquiries, issues, and disputes) or previous experience in debit/credit card processing of at least two (2) years.



SKILLS REQUIRED



Incumbent must demonstrate the ability to analyze data and make decisions based on the analysis. Incumbent must also have the ability to understand and complete some accounting/bookkeeping as needed.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



Physical requirements may include wrist/hand manipulation and restriction to work station for extended periods of time. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for frequent viewing of computer monitor and review of documents.



EQUIPMENT SKILLS



Personal computer with windows environment, calculator, copy machine, and scanner.
