Job Summary
Performs a variety of clerical duties which involves student accounts, fee payments, processing charges, collections and scholarships.  Answers student questions by phone and in person related to student accounts, 1098T’s and other students issues.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities  

  1. Answers student questions
    by telephone and in person related to student accounts.  Responds to student emails. Prints and
    mails statements of accounts, 1098T’s and other related information as
    requested by students, faculty and staff.
  2. Makes collection calls/communication
    on accounts under $100.00 that are due to be turned over to outside
    collection agency. 
  3. Collects student payments
    and department deposits.  Verify cash
    totals to receipts and balances daily.Prepares daily deposit for bank.
  4. Responsible for running
    weekly reports to verify account balances for cancelled and not-attending
    students and notifying departments of discrepancies as well as other
  5. Runs student, parent PLUS
    loan and credit card refund processes weekly.  Provides backup for other positions in
    the Accounts Receivable area as needed.
  6. Performs other duties as
    assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree from an accredited college or university and two years related experience in customer service and bookkeeping roles or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge
    of Microsoft Office products
  • Skill
    in applying basic math to calculate payments and balance cash to receipts.
  • Ability to effectively present information and
    respond to questions from customers, clients and other employees of the
    organization.
  • Ability to use multiple sources to solve problems.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
    furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
