ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a responsible, reliable, and trustworthy Smiles Van Driver to join our Smiles Mobile Dental Van Program. In this role, you will safely transport our mobile dental unit to schools and community locations throughout the East Bay region, helping ensure children have access to essential dental care. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys driving, interacting with the community, and supporting a mission-driven organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely operate and drive the Smiles Mobile Dental Van (approx. 8 ft) to scheduled destinations.
- Set up the van and equipment each day, including cleaning and restocking supplies.
- Serve as the first point of contact for school staff, dental partners, volunteers, and community members.
- Deliver and pick up registration packets and program materials at school locations.
- Accurately complete and maintain DOT logs and required documentation.
- Communicate regularly with the Dental Site Manager regarding scheduling, site needs, and program coordination.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience (bus, delivery vehicle, or similar).
- Valid driver�s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable, organized, and committed to safety.
