Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a full-time Dean of Students and Instructional Coach, beginning with the 2026-2027 school year at Palmer Lake Elementary School. Under general direction of the school principal, this position will assist with administrative functions of the school in the areas of attendance, discipline and supervision. The Instructional Coach is a teacher who has both content and instructional expertise. The Instructional Coach facilitates the district's professional learning model by demonstrating lessons, observing classroom instruction, and coaching teachers one-on-one. The Dean/Instructional Coach focuses on enhancing teacher ability to provide instruction that (1) builds student understanding and skills, (2) is academically rigorous, (3) addresses the curriculum standards and frameworks, and (4) enhances student sense of engagement in and ownership of learning. The Dean/Instructional Coach serves as a member of a building leadership team working to align district and building goals and to evaluate student data in support of effective school improvement planning. The Dean/Instructional Coach works collaboratively with other instructional leaders to design and deliver professional development as directed. Candidates must have, or be eligible to receive a Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement and must have a minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience, demonstrated knowledge of state and national standards, and deep knowledge of research-based instructional practices to improve student learning. Master's degree preferred but not required. The start date for new teachers is July 31, 2026.
Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 18 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 19, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,550 - $75,279. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website.

Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and a life insurance.
