Job Description

Description

Under general supervision of ACS corporate management, specifically Production Supervisor. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will design, develop, and improve existing designs and work on new designs. Should be able to move between different designs at a fast pace.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

·        Prepare calculations on machine design before manufacturing.

·        Provide technical drawings for manufacturing.

·        Develop designs for products to meet defined customer requirements/specifications, including making new or modifying existing designs.

·        Provide support during the fabrication, welding, and assembly of designs.

·        Prepare Bills of Materials and release paperwork for production.

 

Education & Experience 

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.

·        Minimum 5-10 years experience in Design Engineer or similar role.

·        Experience in conveyor industry a plus

·        Proficiency in AutoDesk products, e.g. Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault

 

Technical Skills

·        Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

·        Excellent attention to detail and accuracy to ensure the quality and integrity of production processes.

·        Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address issues and make timely decisions to meet production deadlines.

·        Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures, including production scheduling, inventory control, and quality assurance.

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and demands.

·        Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and practices to ensure compliance and maintain a safe working environment.
