Position Overview
The Project Manager (Resource Coordination Focus) supports the Professional Services organization by managing project scheduling, monitoring resource assignments, and ensuring optimal utilization across multiple client implementations. This role works closely with project managers, team leads, and leadership to balance workload demands, identify capacity gaps, and maintain efficient coordination across Aderant’s global delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities
Resource Coordination
Coordinate the assignment of consultants, developers, and project team members across multiple concurrent client projects.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date resource schedules, including time allocation and project commitments.
Partner with regional resource managers and delivery leads to forecast capacity and identify resourcing needs.
Track utilization and availability using Aderant’s internal project management and time-tracking tools.
Support the onboarding of new resources and ensure smooth transitions between projects.
Project Support
Assist Project Managers in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and milestone tracking.
Facilitate project setup and coordination meetings, document action items, and monitor progress toward deliverables.
Ensure accurate documentation is maintained in Aderant’s PMO systems, such as project charters, timelines, and resource plans.
Monitor project risks and escalate potential resource or timeline conflicts proactively.
Communication & Reporting
Serve as a primary liaison between the PMO, Resource Management, and Delivery teams to communicate scheduling updates and resolve conflicts.
Generate and analyze resource utilization, capacity, and project performance reports for leadership review.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO, contributing ideas to optimize resource planning processes.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
2–4 years of experience in project coordination, scheduling, or resource management—ideally within a software, consulting, or professional services environment.
Experience working with enterprise project management or resource scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
Skills & Competencies
Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—across all levels of the organization.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Teams; familiarity with PSA or ERP systems (such as Aderant Expert) is a plus.
Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification.
Experience supporting global resource planning or delivery operations in a professional services setting.
Familiarity with legal industry operations or time and billing systems.
