Position Summary



The role of the Registered Nurse reports to the Ambulatory Care Manager. This position is responsible for coordinating and ensuring the total nursing care of assigned patients including assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation.  This position is responsible for delegating to and supervising the job classes including, but not limited to: student nurse, nursing assistant, and licensed practical nurseThis position assists in the orientation of new staff and clinical supervision of nursing students.  This position assists in achieving patient quality of care, national patient safety, regulatory agency, and budgetary goals.



Essential Position Responsibilities





Qualifications




  • Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Licensure and Certifications: Registered Nurse license and CPR, required. ACLS required within 90 days of hire. Annual dysrhythmia, required.

  • Experience: Previous experience in an acute care nursing role, preferred.



Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of the time walking and/or standing while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of the time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position will require travel between Washington Regional campuses. This position will be exposed to bodily fluids, communicable disease, and radiation. This position will serve a culturally and linguistically diverse patient population.
