We are looking for an MHE Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operations across the facility, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational performance while developing and supporting MHE drivers.
Your Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe and efficient MHE operations across the site, in line with DP World policies, legal requirements, and performance standards.
Supervise all MHE drivers, ensuring completion of pre-operational checks, post-shift reports, and compliance with safety regulations.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate MHE training activities, including onboarding, assessments, AOS, and refresher training, aligned with operational needs.
Maintain full responsibility for MHE safety inspections and internal racking inspections.
Ensure all training documentation and records are completed accurately and on time, providing clear evidence of training undertaken.
Promote and enforce safe manual and mechanical handling practices at all times.
Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and weekly briefings with MHE drivers to reinforce safety, performance, and behavioural standards.
Analyse MHE driver audit data and report findings, trends, and improvement actions to Operations and Health & Safety Management.
Lead safety investigations related to MHE incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Organise and allocate MHE drivers to designated operational areas during shifts to maintain order and efficiency.
Manage and control MHE contractors on site.
Provide coaching, guidance, and development support to MHE drivers to build a strong safety culture.
Participate in operational and safety-related projects and carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Your Profile:
- Proven experience in a training or supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
RTITB Lift Truck Instructor qualification is essential.
Strong knowledge of manual handling techniques (assessor level required).
Hands-on experience with pivot trucks is essential.
Good understanding of health and safety legislation and willingness to continuously develop knowledge.
Investigation experience related to safety incidents is an advantage.
Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritise effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
Computer literacy and confidence in reporting and documentation.
English language skills are an advantage.
A collaborative, results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
