GSOC Operator
M1 Global is seeking a professional GSOC Operator to support security operations within a corporate campus environment in Newport Beach, CA. This role is responsible for centralized monitoring and coordination of physical security operations across a high-profile business setting. The GSOC Operator plays a critical role in real-time incident management, situational awareness, and communication to protect employees, assets, and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor alarms, access control systems, and video surveillance to identify and assess potential threats
- Triage and escalate incidents in accordance with established GSOC protocols
- Coordinate response efforts, including dispatching internal security and external emergency services when required
- Maintain real-time situational awareness across the campus and provide timely updates to stakeholders
- Support business continuity efforts through timely notification and coordination during incidents
- Assist with system testing, maintenance coordination, and onboarding of new security technologies
- Document incidents thoroughly, ensuring accurate reporting for audits and investigations
- Identify trends or vulnerabilities and communicate recommendations for continuous improvement
Communication & Compliance
- Serve as a central communication hub during both routine operations and emergency situations
- Deliver clear, concise, and professional communication to leadership, employees, and client representatives
- Follow all GSOC SOPs, post orders, and corporate security standards
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices
- Participate in drills, exercises, and ongoing training initiatives
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (degree in criminal justice, homeland security, or related field preferred)
- Prior experience in a GSOC, SOC, command center, or corporate security environment strongly preferred
- Experience supporting corporate, financial, or enterprise-level security operations is a plus
- Proficiency with video management systems, access control platforms, and alarm monitoring tools
- Strong critical thinking, situational awareness, and decision-making abilities
- Professional demeanor with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in a corporate campus or financial services environment
- Familiarity with incident management platforms and reporting tools
- Strong written communication skills for executive-level reporting
