Job Description

 "Urgently Hiring!! Looking to fill as soon as possible!!”

The Staff Trainer is responsible for the ongoing clinical supervision and training of Behavior Intervention Specialists and direct care staff. The Staff Trainer must already have an evidenced based curriculum for teaching methodologies and strategies that help staff to implement Person Centered Planning practices that achieve measurable outcomes. The Staff Trainer provides guidance on appropriate techniques and approaches that meet the level of care planning to ensure goals are appropriate, implemented and measurable in accordance with the needs of our members.

The salary range for this position is $40,000-$50,000 annually.

Requirements

• Train clinical supervisory staff how to develop goals that are measurable using evidence based curriculum and practices.
• Develop training curriculum and train clinical staff how to train direct care staff.
• Model appropriate techniques related to the implementation of treatment plans, life plans and goals
• Provide suggestions on strategies and practices to improve service delivery


Work Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Understanding of individual and population-based behavioral planning
  • Knowledge and foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of professional experience working with people with intellectual / developmental disabilities.
  • Must have evidence based training curriculum experience.
  • Must be able to provide support and guidance to supervisors who write and oversee goal development for individuals with disabilities
  • Valid driver’s license is highly preferred (travel is required to different boroughs)
