Elementary Teacher (Kindergarten)

 Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement daily lessons that align with the district's curriculum standards and meet the needs of all learners
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture that fosters social-emotional development and promotes a love of learning
- Assess student progress regularly and use data to inform instructional decisions
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress and classroom happenings
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement school-wide events and initiatives
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment
- Attend and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge


Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education from an accredited college or university
- Applicant must be Highly Qualified and Endorsed for this position with a Valid Michigan
  Teaching Certificate (K-5 all subjects (ZC, ZG or ZO))
- Experience working with young children, preferably in a lower elementary setting
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in early childhood education

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.

Reports To:   Building Principal

 

Salary:  $47,877 - $88,689 based on experience and degree 

Length of Contract:  185 days

Location:  Mars Elementary

Start Date:  August 24, 2026 first full day, with possible new staff orientation prior to start date
