Qualifications:
60 semester hours college credit; Illinois State Paraprofessional Educator Endorsement (ELS-PARA) or High School Diploma to obtain a Certificate for Temporary Parapofessional License

Requirements:

• Able to work with students with disabilities
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Work cooperatively and effectively with special education teachers as well as regular teachers
• Ability to assist teachers with academic instruction
• Ability to relate effectively with and supervise students
• Able to assist students with daily living skills & personal hygiene; computer skills
• Ability to maintain accurate student records, computer skills
• Ability to communicate with parents
