Job Description

Vantor is forging the new frontier of spatial intelligence, helping decision makers and operators navigate what’s happening now and shape what’s coming next.  Vantor is a place for problem solvers, changemakers, and go-getters—where people are working together to help our customers see the world differently, and in doing so, be seen differently. Come be part of a mission, not just a job, where you can: Shape your own future, build the next big thing, and change the world.

Please review the job details below.

We are searching for the best and brightest to join a culture that is open and flexible, inclusive and positive. At Vantor, you’ll get the chance to grow, develop your skills, and collaborate with talented people who make a real difference for our clients worldwide.

From our R&D hub in Ebbepark, Linköping, with around 80 engineers, we develop cutting-edge technology to deliver unparalleled, global, and precise 3D geospatial data and software. We’re building the Globe in 3D: providing decision-makers and analysts with the entire world in highly accurate, immersive 3D models for telecommunications, emergency response and defense and intelligence.

About the role

As a Software Developer at Vantor, you will be part of a development team building and evolving our 3D geospatial software products and systems. You will work across the full development lifecycle—from planning and design to implementation and testing—solving complex technical challenges and delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.

You collaborate closely in teams with other developers, architects, Systems Engineers, QA engineers, and product stakeholders, and are expected to take ownership of your work while contributing to technical decisions and continuous improvement of development practices.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software systems and applications
  • Analyze complex requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
  • Evaluate different approaches and make informed technical trade-offs
  • Work across the full software development lifecycle, including testing and validation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization, globally
  • Contribute to improving and adopting new tools, technologies, processes, and ways of working

Who we’re looking for

As two of our teams are growing, we’re looking for two experienced Software Developers; one for our Production Systems team and one for our Data Processing team.

We’re looking for you who enjoy solving complex problems and building robust, high-quality systems. You are comfortable working in environments where requirements evolve and can make sound engineering decisions.

You have a strong technical foundation and analyze problems from multiple perspectives. You take ownership, contribute to technical direction, and are a supportive, collaborative team player.

You communicate clearly and can work effectively with stakeholders across different functions and areas of expertise. We believe you are curious, proactive, and motivated to continuously improve both your own skills and the systems you work with.

Minimum requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Image Processing and/or Computer Vision, Data Science or other relevant technical fields
  • Solid experience from Software Development, algorithms, and problem-solving
  • Solid knowledge and experience in C++ and Python
  • Experience and interest in development using AI tools
  • Cloud deployment experiences (AWS, Azure or similar)
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written

Preferred qualifications:

  • Kubernetes experiences
  • CI/CD

The role will be based at our office in Linköping, with the possibility of part-time hybrid work. To help us make a well-informed selection and match your skills effectively, please indicate in your application your main areas of competence and interest within software development.

Some positions at Vantor involve work with classified information where you are required to complete and be approved in a security check by a Swedish authority.

  • Hands-on work with cutting-edge technology and real production systems
  • A collaborative, inclusive, and innovative engineering culture
  • Close mentorship from experienced engineers
  • The opportunity to contribute to technology that directly impacts the future of 3D geospatial data, autonomous systems, and advanced analytics
