Description
SUMMARY
The Process Engineer is responsible for understanding the requirements of the production floor. Process Engineers are able to examine the manufacturing processes for creating the various jobs performed and make suggestions that will improve efficiency and output.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
1. Accurately allocated time in Smartsheets
2. Repeat job processing
3. Issuing stock material from inventory to a job
4. Complete traveler change forms
5. Processes rate change forms
6. 2nd Engineering kickbacks – correct errors and incorporate feedback into future job processes to reduce amount of second engineering kickback
7. 2nd Engineering Kickbacks should be less than 20%
8. Customer additional requirement updates / review before implementation (ie. MQI, ADCN, OPMPs)
9. Complete accurately and on time IQS document audits
10. Complete customer PPAP support / documentation
11. Provide PPVR updates
12. Shop floor equipment layout support
13. Participates in Kaizens
14. Troubleshooting of ideas with shop floor for product improvement
15. Supports operational consistency in production by implementing process improvements
16. Continual observation and training of next level Engineering responsibilities
17. Be able to perform select duties of Manufacturing Engineer with direct supervision
18. Respond to customer requests in a timely manner which will exceed their expectations
19. Reports to personnel as described in the Company’s organizational structure

QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Two-year Manufacturing Engineering degree or at least one year of job shop experience, either as support for engineering department or actual manufacturing experience.
PREFERRED SKILLS AS FOLLOWS
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate, both written and verbally, with the English language.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS
Have a strong background in trigonometry and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Possess a strong ability to think logically to solve manufacturing problems, or while evaluating a new process. Must not only think in an engineering mind-set but also in relation to business as far as cost is concerned.
