Must have the ability to be reached by phone for the duration of the 173-day assignment and as needed during the off period

Direct and stop traffic to allow students and pedestrians to cross safely.
Ensure students follow safety procedures when crossing streets.
Remain alert and attentive to surroundings to identify potential hazards.
Maintain and properly use all safety equipment (stop sign, vest, etc.).
Wear uniform and safety vest during all duty hours.
Report suspicious behavior, unsafe conditions, or traffic incidents to the Transportation Supervisor.
Communicate crossing rules and safety procedures to students, parents, and staff when necessary.
Manage large groups of children and maintain order during crossings.
Arrive on time for all assigned shifts and work in various weather conditions.
Follow all Splendora ISD and Splendora Police Department guidelines.
Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.

PRIMARY PURPOSE
Provide safe crossing for students who walk to and from school. Ensure student safety by directing traffic and pedestrians during school arrival and dismissal times. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and vision of Splendora ISD.
