Job Description

Key Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Support safety, health, and environmental rules and lead by example
  • Ensure product quality meets internal and external specifications
  • Ensure team maintain and operate equipment following procedures and best practices as defined in the control plan
  • Conduct process and product audits according to the work instructions
  • Confirm changeovers are following proper set-up procedure according to work instructions
  • Lead the team to be labor efficient during the entire shift and during any type of troubleshooting
  • Communicate concerns, improvements and general information to the Area Manager
  • Efficiently communicate when there is a troubleshooting and problem solving of manufacturing problems in the operations
  • Provide support to the process improver and line leader in pursuit of continuous improvement
  • Fulfill assignments/tasks given by Area Manager
  • Actively participate in area problem solving teams and other groups as necessary to achieve production goals.
  • Review inventory and schedule.
  • Plan and communicate production needs to the team to ensure all production requirements are met and ensure a good pass down before each shift.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members according to procedures and best practices to achieve short and long-term goals.
  • Coordinate 5S and housekeeping duties to maintain high standard of facility cleanliness.
  • Audit employee time records and correct as needed using UltiPro.
  • Administer coaching and progressive discipline as needed in compliance with the facility work rules.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines.

    • Safety and goal oriented.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills.
    • Demonstrated personal computer skills

     

    Qualifications Desired:

    • 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing.
    • Automotive glass experience
