Job Description

Our Deloitte Cyber team understands the unique challenges and opportunities businesses face in cybersecurity. Join our team to deliver powerful solutions to help our clients navigate the ever-changing threat landscape. Through powerful solutions and managed services that simplify complexity, we enable our clients to operate with resilience, grow with confidence, and proactively manage to secure success.

Work You’ll Do

As a Senior Software Developer/Engineer, you will lead and execute the design, development, testing, and ongoing maintenance of core applications and services that support critical business and mission outcomes. You’ll drive technical direction across the full software development lifecycle—translating ambiguous requirements into scalable designs, delivering well-structured components, and ensuring solutions are secure, performant, resilient, and reliable in production.

You will set a high bar for engineering excellence by writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, establishing and evolving engineering standards, and promoting consistent patterns across the codebase. You’ll lead peer code reviews, mentor and guide other engineers, and partner with technical leadership to make architecture and implementation decisions. You’ll proactively identify opportunities to improve code quality, reduce technical debt, strengthen automated testing, and improve developer productivity through better tooling and practices.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of complex debugging and troubleshooting, support releases and production operations as needed, and improve observability through thoughtful logging, metrics, and tracing. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners—such as product, quality assurance (QA), security, and operations—to shape requirements, manage dependencies, mitigate delivery risks, and ensure smooth execution from development through deployment. You’ll also help plan and execute technical roadmaps, balancing near-term delivery with long-term maintainability and scalability.
