Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Internal Auditor is responsible for developing audit programs, conducting restaurant audits, and overseeing other enterprise compliance reviews. This role independently analyzes and prepares the audit schedule using department guidelines; supports operations to maximize restaurant profitability.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

May perform any or all of the following duties:

  • Performs franchise restaurant sales reviews
  • Identifies unusual restaurant-level sales transactions
  • Performs specific audits to investigate irregular transactions, as requested.
  • Assists in performing Franchisee compliance reviews.
  • Review lease abstracts for accuracy of Lucernex data and add new data as required
  • CAM reconciliation
  • Cash audits on company stores on a schedule and as needed
  • Exhibits excellent presentation competence, using appropriate oral and written skills to deliver information in a professional and understandable format.
  • Consistently exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Attends seminars and completes other training to remain current on industry trends.
  • Participates in company meetings, webinars, and conference calls.
  • Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Must possess approximately five (5) years of any combination of experience and/or education that demonstrates a commanding knowledge of internal audits.
  • Must display strong analytical and organizational skills and have the ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies with positive business results.
  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills; communicates effectively with various contacts (internal and external).
  • Must have a strong work ethic and a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive information.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Home office and restaurant environment

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Sitting for extended periods of time, using the telephone, typing, and/or operating a computer and/or mouse
  • Fieldwork travel is up to 75% and includes overnight travel.
