Description

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Business Development Intern to support our expansion across the New York metro area. This role offers hands-on experience in field sales, retail execution, and market development within a fast-growing beverage company.

You will work closely with the sales team to help build distribution, support retail partnerships, and gain real exposure to how products go from warehouse to shelf.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the team in identifying and reaching out to potential retail and on-premise accounts 
  • Assist in opening new accounts and maintaining relationships with store managers and partners 
  • Help execute in-store merchandising, including shelf stocking, display setup, and product organization 
  • Monitor inventory levels in assigned accounts and assist with restocking and reorder coordination 
  • Work with distributor sales teams to support daily execution and territory activities 
  • Participate in in-store promotions and local marketing activations to increase brand awareness 
  • Track basic sales and account information using internal tools or Excel 
  • Provide general support to the sales team on ongoing business development initiatives
Requirements

 Basic Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college/university 
  • Strong interest in sales, business development, or the beverage/CPG industry 
  • Good communication skills and willingness to interact with retail partners in person 
  • Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment 
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) 
  • Able to travel within the New York metro area as needed 
  • Comfortable with light physical tasks (e.g., stocking products, setting up displays) 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship or part-time experience in sales, retail, or customer-facing roles 
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese is a plus
