Job Description
The Pajaro Valley Unified School District annually hires coaches to prepare athletes for competition.
Coaches have responsibility for:
a. teaching sports techniques, playing rules, strategies and playing tactics;
b. conditioning athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength and agility;
c. supervising and conducting practices and contests safely; supervising locker rooms and buses;
d. teaching sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic and responsibility to one's team;
e. monitoring athletes' school attendance, grades and personal conduct;
f. responding to player injuries with approved first aid techniques;
g. managing uniforms, equipment and school facilities in a responsible manner;
h. provide coverage for absence of coaches.

Requirements / Qualifications
Watsonville High School is accepting applications for Head Varsity Baseball Coach to work at for the 2026-2027 school year (February 2nd– May 25th). The schools of around 2000 students with administration that understands the importance of the strong link between athletics and academics. A chief objective is to hire an individual who will make the school a home and provide some much-needed stability and direction for the program.

Season Stipend $5,641
