Job Description

GVI, Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking Mechanical Engineers to effectively and efficiently support our customer in Newport, RI.

Responsibilities:

  • Be familiar and proficient with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Design tooling and test fixtures and generate repair and test procedures based on sound engineering theories and research
  • Analyze engineering problems, equipment failures and provide solutions either through re-design or upgrades
  • If necessary generate Engineering Change Procedures (ECP), Departure From Specifications (DFS), Request for Problem Resolutions (RPRs)
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert in the facility

 

Position requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (new graduates welcome)
  • 0 - 3 years relevant engineering experience
  • Prior Navy sytem experience desired but not required
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written), and excellent customer service skill
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. Active SECRET clearance holders preferred.
  • Must have a valid U.S. Driver's license
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

Strong preference will be given to those candidates with prior experience with the Navy Towed Array Handling Systems
